SWTSA (South West Teaching School Alliance) is delighted to be hosting a train to teach day for anyone considering becoming a teacher.

This will be an ideal opportunity for prospective teachers to receive face to face help and advice about teacher training provision in the South West. High quality providers will be on hand to offer guidance on teaching as a career, the application process and the models of training available. There will be a mix of all phases represented (early years, primary and secondary) and formal presentations will be delivered at least twice throughout the evening.

Lorwyn Randall is Director of the Kingsbridge Research School Network, a joint project between the Education Endowment Foundation and the Institute for Effective Education. The project seeks to bring evidence based practice into schools across the south west and support organisations in evaluating pedagogy and interventions through research innovation projects.
